7 Advantages of a Self-Adhesive Felt Floor Protection Covering
A self-adhesive felt floor protection covering stays in place, cushions impact and can be considered again after the job when its condition allows.
Self-adhesive felt floor protection is a surface covering made to stay where it is laid, thanks to the tack layer underneath. The felt cushions impact. The adhesive layer reduces the sliding that walking and material traffic cause.
## Seven advantages
First, the covering stays put. It does not bunch up with every step the way slippery plastic sheeting does.
Second, the felt softens the effect of a dropped tool or a ladder that rubs the floor. A hard sheet does not give that cushion.
Third, walking on it is steadier than walking on plastic. That supports safer movement during painting and renovation.
Fourth, edges and skirting are easier to check. A lifted strip is obvious and can be pressed back.
Fifth, paint splashes and fine dust stay on the covering instead of landing straight on the floor. This does not mean every liquid is held. The surface still needs to be dry and the instructions still apply.
Sixth, it can be cut and joined to the room. Stairs, thresholds and narrow halls are closed with separate pieces.
Seventh, if the covering is clean and untorn at the end, it can be used again to the extent the instructions allow. That reduces the need to open a new sheet for every job.

These advantages do not mean the covering suits every surface and every duration without conditions. On newly treated parquet, the waiting period, a small-area test and the manufacturer's instructions still apply. Soiled or damaged material is not laid again unless that is allowed.
